The Nyer Zet-ractor can be used for all operations in the sensitive facial area, ranging from wisdom tooth extractions, facelifts to Rhynoplasty to facial trauma care through to facial reconstructive surgery. The purpose of Nyer Zet-ractor is to aid in better retraction of tissues and better reflection of the muco- periosteal flap in posterior maxillary and mandibular surgeries. The forked end can also be used to strip the mandibular ramus of its attachments in orthognathic surgeries and also for the purpose of isolation of nerves while retraction of the overlying tissues in the infra orbital and mental nerve regions during facial fracture correction surgeries.

The design is focused upon the morphologic adaptation of the retractor end with an added provision of shielding the tissues from injury which may be cause by high speed bone cutting drills/burs while also providing adequate space for a suction tube to further isolate the surgical site.
